GYM FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Below are frequently asked questions we have received in regards to the Strength & Conditioning Changes at The Injury Clinic. 

  • If I am a current client of the clinic and already have a Strength & Conditioning Program, am I still required to attend an Initial Consult and Initial 1:1 Session with the Strength & Conditioning Coach?

No, you are more than welcome to continue completing your current Strength & Conditioning Program. You will be required to join our gym membership to have access to our Strength & Conditioning Sessions, where Strength & Conditioning Coaches will be available to answer questions and progress your program. 

If you do not wish to attend supervised Strength & Conditioning Sessions, you may continue to consult 1:1 with your Strength & Conditioning Coach as you have been, however access to the gym will be restricted to ‘Open Training’ times only.

 

  • Is there a limit to the number of times I am allowed to use the Strength & Conditioning Sessions or Open Gym Sessions per week?

You are able to use The Injury Clinic Gym as many times per week as you wish! Please note that bookings are essential for Strength & Conditioning Sessions as numbers are restricted to ensure clients receive an appropriate amount of time and attention from your Strength & Conditioning Coach. It is highly recommended that you attend at least one Strength & Conditioning Session per week to ensure appropriate program progression.

 

  • Do I have to pay $30 each week or can I pay in advance for several weeks?

You can either opt for our direct debit service where payment will be taken fortnightly or you can pay in advance.

 

  • Is there an option for Concession/Student membership?

Unfortunately, there are no Concession/Student memberships available. All memberships are $30.00 per week.

 

  • Are there family memberships available?

Again unfortunately, there are NO family memberships available. It will be required that each family member pays an individual membership of $30.00 per week.

 

  • Do I have to commit to paying every week or am I able to choose what weeks I wish to use the membership?

You will be required to commit for a minimum of 4 consecutive weeks at a time. Therefore you will be required to plan ahead yourself if you wish to not use it one week. Interruptions to your membership as a result of illness, work or family commitments etc. can be discussed with The Injury Clinic administration staff when required and will be considered on an individual basis. 

 

  • If my treating Physio created my program for Injury Rehabilitation, do I still need to pay for the membership or are their other options available?

No. You will not be required to pay for a membership, however use of the gym will be restricted to ‘Open Training’ session times. If you would like to attend a Strength & Conditioning Session to have your program supervised, there will be a ‘casual’ cost of $15.00 per session. 

If you choose to pay the membership fee, you will have access to the gym at all times, inclusive of supervised Strength & Conditioning Sessions, as well as no cost use of the Alter-G.

 

  • Who should be undertaking a Strength & Conditioning Program?

Strength & Conditioning Programs can assist in improving performance and general well-being as well as reducing injury risk. Regardless of whether you are a weekend-warrior, recreational lover of sport & exercise or an elite / sub-elite athlete; Strength & Conditioning Programs should be considered a valuable part of your training.
